The Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2015 to honor outstanding athletic achievements and efforts which have enhanced athletics in Rancho Cordova. The Sports Hall of Fame promotes and provides inspiration to the community’s youth.
To be eligible for nomination, nominee must meet one of the following: (1) born in Rancho Cordova; (2) made their mark within Rancho Cordova; or (3) lived in Rancho Cordova and went on to high levels of sports achievement elsewhere. This is a citywide Hall of Fame and not limited to Cordova High School athletic achievement. High standards of character and sportsmanship of the nominees will be considered during selection, a process that will be conducted with the utmost integrity.
To be elected to the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame, the inductee must be judged to have attained significant achievements in or contributions to athletics. A candidate must have a clear connection with Rancho Cordova. Candidates may be living or deceased.
Above all, induction to the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame is for accomplishments in sports that generate a source of pride to the community, recognized annually at the Rancho Cordova Sports Hall of Fame event. Nominations may be made in three categories: Athletes, Coaches and Heart of a Champion.
Nominations for 2018 awards will be accepted through March 31, 2018.

said David Sander, a Rancho Cordova City Councilman and president of the Rancho Cordova Athletic Association. “Our Hall of Fame acknowledges and memorializes that incredible history and will inspire our current and future youth athletes as well.”
