The Cordova Community Council is seeking nominations of outstanding volunteer efforts to be honored at the 18th Annual Community Awards event, scheduled for  March 10 at Rancho Cordova City Hall .

Each year, inspiring stories emerge about individuals, teenagers, businesses and organizations which are making a big difference in the Rancho Cordova community through extraordinary volunteer effort.  The awards range from Outstanding Community Service to Rancho Cordovan of the Year, which often recognizes a lifetime of volunteering.

It is all celebrated in a fun and exciting event at City Hall.  This year’s theme is “Get your Golden Ticket,” and puts a spotlight on the magic of volunteering in our community – Willie Wonka style!

Persons wishing to make a nomination may do so by filling out a nomination form and returning it to the Cordova Community Council at Rancho Cordova City Hall, 2729 Prospect Park Drive, Suite 117, Rancho Cordova CA 95670. Nominations may be mailed to the same address or emailed to marie@cordovacouncil.org.   For more information, call 273-5704. Nominations are on-going and will close at 5 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017.

Tickets for this wonderful Rancho Cordova tradition are $25 and include dinner, entertainment and program.
