The Cordova Community Council continues the advancement of the arts in 2025. We never tire of finding creative new ways to expand and evolve our exciting arts community and continue to elevate The MACC – the heart of the arts in Rancho Cordova. The City of Rancho
Cordova’s Arts Strategic Plan calls out a vision of our city being “a place for art and artists.” We’re working hard to make that vision a reality.
Representing the visual component of our arts initiative, Rancho Cordova Arts is driven by active artists in the community, who organize fine art exhibits and interesting arts speakers aimed at developing professionalism among local artists, recruit art volunteers and more. Visual artists join us in hosting quarterly City Hall exhibits and special events at The MACC. Are you an artist? Or just a fan of the arts? It doesn’t matter, Rancho Cordova Arts is for you!
Our concert band is a lively bunch of approximately 70 volunteer musicians who play as a group or in small ensembles all over Rancho Cordova and the region. Rancho Cordova performances are generally free of charge and cover a wide range of popular and classical band pieces, all under the direction of Conductor Tom Seaton. Our band appears often at community events and provides the musical backbone to veterans and holiday events, as well.
Symphony d’Oro (formerly the Rancho Cordova Civic Light Orchestra) turns 12 in January 2025. The symphony remains the pride and joy of Rancho Cordova orchestra-lovers. Conductor Pete Nowlen keeps it interesting, and with 60 musicians, Symphony d’Oro is making its mark, playing familiar music in unusual settings and creative new ways!
The Swing Collective is a classic big band based in the greater Sacramento area. While a love for classic swing era music brought us together and makes up the largest part of our musical repertoire the band performs a variety of jazz and popular songs to entertain listeners of all ages.
Bringing the community together one production at a time through quality theatre and visual performing arts, with integrity, honesty, and inclusion.
Every year there are new and exciting things for the Arts in Rancho Cordova. Cordova Community Council is your gateway to the arts. Cordova Community Council helps nurture these nonprofits so the arts thrive in the community. Our newest addition to the art community is Ri-Nu Imagination Artist Studios located in Lincoln Village. This newest artful nonprofit has currently 7 artist studios, and does
classes, small local art shows, and focuses on the whole artist (mind, body and soul).
