Feel like catching a wave? Nobody gets that like Wake Audio!

This Rancho Cordova enterprise makes its their business to provide awesome sound as you plow through the waves in your boat or are cruising along in your vehicle. They are a marine and auto audio installation shop doing business from their location right here on White Rock Road.

Producing great sound for their clients is definitely their passion, but it does not stop there. It turns out that Wake Audio also cares a lot about kids served by the Police Activities League – PAL – who nominated them for this award.

PAL told us that in 2021, Wake Audio was their biggest supporter of the “Every Kid Needs a PAL” mission. They supported PAL with their dollars during Big Day of Giving, the Junior Giants and Outdoor Adventure Club.

In December, they came to the rescue of the Holiday STAR Program. This project recognizes 30 preschool and elementary school students who, despite challenging financial circumstances, have worked hard to become high achievers at school.  When the major sponsor dropped out at the last minute, Wake Audio stepped up to fill the void, purchasing backpacks, pajamas, gift cards and toys for the students, plus breakfast for the entire event.

When they found out the Christmas in Cordova toy collection was destroyed by water damage just before the holiday, they purchased $1000 worth of toys and then did what great volunteers do – they reached out to several other businesses to hold toy drives or donate to the cause, too. In the end, they were able to inspire eight businesses to step up and raised another $2000, helping make Christmas in Cordova the leading holiday donation project in our city despite unforeseen setbacks.

But Wake did not stop there.

• They are a leading sponsor of the PAL Holiday Run.
• They annually donate close to $3000 to PAL programs, covering equipment and other needs.
• They not only lay down cash, but give of themselves, pitching in as coaches and preparing fields for the Junior Giants, a free baseball program targeting more than 300 at-risk Rancho Cordova children every year.
• Wake has held car show toy drives to support Christmas in Cordova, bringing in 1000 toys each year, while collecting donations from partnering businesses to benefit the event.

In making the nomination, PAL said this:

Their passion and enthusiasm has inspired countless businesses that they partner with to help our cause as well. They have dedicated their time, energy and hearts to help further the mission of the Rancho Cordova Police Activities League and we could not be more grateful.”

Wake Audio is not a giant corporation. It’s just a small business -- that has a giant heart.

Wake Audio, it’s an honor to learn about your exciting business. But to take the added steps to look out for needy kids makes you stand out in the crowd. As the Police Activities League likes to say, “every kid needs a PAL.” At Wake Audio, they have a whole team.
